This is a six-color, 4’x4’ hand-painted repeating pattern. It came to be from spending many months spent inside, and learning to appreciate and study the often overlooked items that make a house a home. I created 40 paintings of still-life objects and houseplants, then scanned, printed and collaged them into an 8’x8’ repeating pattern. Then, I traced the 4’x4’ straight repeat, transferred to canvas and created a six-color design. Scroll to the gallery to see process!
